Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program

The federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) system aims to help federal government and service that is nonprofit, by providing total loan forgiveness to people who commit by themselves to a profession in public places solution. PSLF helps ensure that people whom make commitments to general public service jobs have the methods to make that choice.

A motivation for Public Provider

The PSLF Program supports students pursing advanced schooling by giving loan forgiveness to those that commit by themselves to a lifetime career in public solution (employed with a non-profit or federal government). PSLF ensures that present graduates can pursue advanced schooling, including advanced degrees, and select a profession path that puts solution into the public in front of other factors. An individual must have a federal Direct Loan, make 120 monthly on-time payments (10 years), and be enrolled in an income-driven repayment plan while employed full-time in a qualified public-sector job to participate in the PSLF Program and receive loan forgiveness.
